Jerusha is a positive, energetic Australian woman who is passionate about pregnancy and birth.

Several years ago, after assisting a close friend through the wonderful birth of her son, Jerusha discovered such a love of the birth process that she decided to make it her vocation. The later discovery of the more formal role of a doula presented her with the perfect opportunity to follow through her aspirations in labour and birth support.

She finds her work as a doula continually inspiring as every pregnancy and birth is completely unique. Helping families understand the options available and create their own informed birth choices, as well as providing a calm, reassuring presence for the mother and her partner through their birth is a process Jerusha feels honoured to be a part of.

Jerusha completed her Doula Certification through Childbirth International. Other areas of training that she has completed include the Make A Difference workshop, also with Childbirth International, Nurturing Birth's Advanced Breastfeeding Course, and is St John Ambulance Infant and Child Emergency Life Support certified. Jerusha has valid public liability insurance.

Through her love of working with people, she has been employed for many years in different areas of care work, from maternity nursing and childcare to elderly respite assistance.

In all of these contexts, creating a relationship of trust is the foundation of her work with clients.
